EXPANDED PERLITE
Taking into account bulk density and grain size distribution, PERLIPOL has divided its perlite into the following grades:
- EP 150,
- EP 180,
- EP 200, also known as AGROPERLITE.
- PERLITE EP 150 has the form of white-grey granules with a grain size of 0–1.25 mm. Its bulk density ranges from 45 to 80 kg/m3. It is most commonly used in the production of cement and gypsum plasters, various types of building mixes and mortars, and for insulation of cryogenic liquid gas storage tanks.
- PERLITE EP 180 has the form of white-grey granules with a grain size of 0–3 mm. Its bulk density ranges from 80 to 100 kg/m3. It is most commonly used as a component of mortars, thermal insulation floor screeds, in the production of preformed shapes and other fire-resistant materials, for cavity insulation in ceramic bricks, and as a vitamin carrier in animal feeds.
- PERLITE EP 200 (AGROPERLITE) has the form of white-grey granules with a grain size of 0–6 mm. Its bulk density ranges from 80 to 130 kg/m3. It is most commonly used in horticulture, agriculture, animal husbandry, landscaping/green areas, and green walls and roofs.
EXPANDED PERLITE is harmless to human and animal health as well as the natural environment.
PERLIPOL offers expanded perlite in 125 L paper bags (1 m3 equals 8 bags), big-bags, and in bulk via road tankers.

HYDROPHOBIC PERLITE
HYDROPERL (HYDROPHOBIC PERLITE) is manufactured from EP 180 expanded perlite and takes the form of white, porous granules. Its surface is coated with a thin hydrophobic layer, giving HYDROPERL an exceptionally low water absorption rate and a very high absorption rate for petroleum products. It effectively absorbs diesel fuel, gasoline, oils, lubricants, turpentine, and other greasy liquids. It prevents groundwater contamination and purifies wastewater; it is lightweight, highly durable, and floats on the water surface (its bulk density ranges from 80 to 100 kg/m3).
Because it does not absorb water, preparing lightweight concrete, plasters, and screeds with it is easier and significantly reduces water consumption. The mechanical strength parameters of products made with HYDROPERL are superior to those made from standard expanded perlite.
Hydrophobization does not affect any properties of expanded perlite other than water repellency, so HYDROPERL retains all of its natural advantages.

VERMICULITE
Expanded vermiculite has the form of golden-beige granules with a grain size of 0–5 mm. Its bulk density ranges from 70 to 120 kg/m3. It is most commonly used as thermal, fire, and acoustic insulation, as a soil amendment/substrate additive in horticulture, and as a carrier for vitamins and minerals in agriculture and animal farming.
Vermiculite is harmless to human and animal health as well as the natural environment.
PERLIPOL offers vermiculite in 125 L paper bags (1 m3 equals 8 bags), 100 L foil bags, and in big-bags.

Milled perlite has the form of a white-grey powder with a grain size of 0–100 μm. Its bulk density ranges from 110 to 250 kg/m3. It is most commonly used for the filtration of juices, wine, oils, molasses, pectin, sugar, enzymes, antibiotics, polymers, paints, varnishes, resins, and water, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, and plastics manufacturing (as a functional filler).
